Villa Kubu is the best of both worlds combining both a private sanctuary situated in lush garden settings and instant access to high octane, party central Seminyak. Villa Kubu is 25 minutes from the airport, convenient to all of Bali’s main tourist attractions and just minutes from the fabulous Legian Beach with its 365 days of spectacular sunsets and white sand beach.

Villa Kubu has a long established reputation for privacy. (and uncommon villas, that are a far cry from the mainstream. The owner has lovingly built each individualist villa one at a time over a twelve year period and today there are 14 individual homes. Don’t expect cookie cutter plunge pools and mass produced Balinese furnishings and fittings. Each villa here has its own personality as unique as the Australian owner and all come with their own enchanted gardens and swimming pools.

In today’s world privacy is one of life’s greatest luxuries and Villa Kubu is infamous for it’s three flag service signals that are stationed just outside your front gate that ensure your wish is the staff’s command. Yellow signifies to the staff that you are in residence, green means please service immediately, “champagne and nibbles are required”, and red means please, under no circumstances, disturb us. The three flag service signals are followed with the utmost respect and the friendly smiling service that is synonymous with Bali.

Every villa has its own large swimming pool surrounded by spacious areas for lounging that include thatched roof bales, (outdoor gazebos), that are picture perfect and can be used as an outdoor dining pavilion, a lounge area for relaxing and reading or a super spot for a massage for two. Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen that is stocked prior to your arrival with snacks and refreshments. Many of the villas feature outdoor dining tables and chairs for simply enjoying meals under the sun and stars. Some villas come with open aired dining rooms and open kitchens that make meal time a social occasion for everyone. Breakfasts are cooked to order in your own kitchen by Villa Kubu’s butlers. Every villa also has its own entertainment centre with i-pod speakers, TV’s and DVD players. Villa Kubu has proudly accepted the Gold Tri Hita Karana award for honouring the Balinese design concepts of creating harmony between man, nature and the heavens by using natural local building materials. This award was established to acknowledge businesses in Bali that protect the environment and promote cultural integration of their businesses with Balinese traditions.

Villa 3

This three bedroom villa has high vaulted thatched alang alang ceilings and is spoilingly spacious. An added advantage here is that this villa can connect to the next door one bedroom villa (Villa 15) for an even larger party. En-suite indoor-outdoor bathrooms accompany all of the bedrooms and the master bedroom has its own dressing room complete with a walk in closet. On the second level is an entertainment room with a wide screen TV and lounge seating that can be closed off to be air conditioned or left open to the breezy elements. A large teak dining table is the centre for gathering friends and families for meals and the dining room is accented by Indonesian paintings and antiques. The pool and outdoor bale are bordered with lovely palm trees and tropical vegetation and frangipani trees.

Villa 16

This three-bedroom villa is more modern in style than the other villas on the estate. It has a slightly Mediterranean feel with a white stucco exterior and – on the upper storey balcony that’s ideal for dining under the stars – an intricate ironwork balustrade. Also on this level are rare bengkiray wooden floors topped with comfortable king-size beds. Another open-air dining area is located downstairs next to the pool, this one furnished with a round dining table suitable for larger groups. Sliding French doors open from the Canton-tiled ground floor onto the massive garden, where one of the features are the Pandan palm trees that are over two decades

Villa Kubu located in vibrant area, Seminyak. This area contains fine dining venues, boutiques and shopping stops just in five minutes driving. Short walking distance gathering you to Bali’s popular beaches, night clubs and bars. Though it enjoys easy access to some Bali attractions, villa Kubu still refers to quiet living in natural beauty.
